David Porter is the CEO and founder of 8tracks, the leading crowd-curated radio platform. 8tracks allows listeners to discover and enjoy music through people, delivering unmatched depth and a human touch. David wrote the plan for 8tracks during business school at Berkeley in 1999, informed in part by the DJ scene in London in the late 90s. 8tracks is backed by Index Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz and a handful of music industry executives and high-profile DJs. Prior to 8tracks, David helped lead Live365, a pioneer in internet radio, to profitability.
