Biography
Richard is the President and Co-founder of OTT music streaming service, Qello Concerts where he is responsible for all aspects of the business, from strategy to execution. He oversees relationships with content partners, including the major music labels and 100s of independents. Richard built
and maintains Qello Concerts’ distribution partnerships, including Apple, Google, and Amazon.
Richard was very early in identifying the transformation from liner to digital video and has positioned Qello Concerts at the forefront of all major platform launches while securing global OTT rights within the music space years before others identified these trends.
Forbes recently called Qello Concerts “The Netflix of Concert Films and Music Documentaries.” It has become widely known as the ultimate source for the world’s largest and deepest collection of concert films spanning 10 decades, catering to music lovers with access to every relative new media platform.
As a Co-founder of Qello Holdings, which recently sold a majority stake to private equity firm, Winnick and Company, he continues to be an adviser to it’s growing OTT B-to-B technology solutions practice, Qello Media Solutions.
Prior to founding Qello, Richard started his owned and operated business consultancy, East lake Consultants, which specializes in emerging technology companies. Richard provides his clients with C-level expertise in business and corporate development, sales and marketing, and capital raising.
Richard has the unique experience of being both a successful investor and business operator. Over the last 15 years, Richard has invested and launched three different businesses, taking two from business plan, through financing, to successful exits, and the third, he currently advises and sits on the board of directors.
